One of our newest additions to our Taste of Boulder Culinary Tour is ARCANA, a restaurant tucked on Walnut Street dishing up American cuisine.
In their words, “In our exploration of American cuisine, ARCANA will look to historic preparations and ingredients while honoring our own regionality.”
While Arcana is most commonly known for their dinner-time fare, featuring produce from local farms, house baked bread displayed along the open air kitchen counter and house-made preserves, they are now serving up brunch.
And the menu has us all drooling.
American-Style Brunch at ARCANA
The brunch menu at ARCANA is filled with American classics, with their special twist.
From drop biscuits, served with smoked ham and cultured butter, to a classic ‘American Slam’ (cheesy eggs, meat, toast and hash browns), just about every classic breakfast craving is satisfied.
They even have a breakfast ‘sammy’ which is a fried egg, cheddar, sausage and Morita mayo all served on a honey bun. Local Table Tours owner, Megan, enjoyed this breakfast sammy this past weekend.
Along with the classic dishes, the brunch menu is also speckled with unique fare – like Blue Chestnut Slapjacks and Whipped Farmer’s Cheese Toast.
Brunch Isn’t Complete Without Libations
ARCANA’s cocktail menu is one to talk about on it’s own, and the same goes for the brunch cocktail menu.
Our favorite? The house made spiked kefir cocktail, in original or pickled plum & cardamom.
Their Bloody Mary is also one to write home about. And we are quite picky when it comes to our Bloody Marys 🙂
Next time you’re looking for a brunch fix, we encourage you to check out ARCANA.
